 The tobacco chamber is being bored with a special bit made by Tim West. By loosening one of the jaws on
 the lathe chuck, the block will swivel into position to be bored. This maintains perfect alignment with the previously
 drilled airway. Once the block is aligned with the boring bit, the jaw is retightened and the boring can begin.

 I am sanding the tobacco chamber. I sand the chamber down to 320 grit. I don't like to sand the chamber any
 smoother as I believe it inhibits the forming of the carbon cake.

 I am begining to shape the pipe. Most of the shaping is done on a 1-inch belt sander. By sanding and constantly
 eyeing the block, the pipe begins to take shape. A Dremel tool with various sanding drums, small rasps, and
 a wood carver's knife are used in areas that the sanding belt can't reach.
